Windows 7 which was released on versions which did not have windows media player 12. those editions were windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN. people might find it difficult to get it so i posted this topic
The Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN will install Media Player and related technologies on a computer running Windows 7 N or Windows 7 KN edition can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=31017ED3-166A-4C75-B90C-A6CEF9B414C4&displaylang=en
plus you need to verify your windows 7 copy is genuine and thats easy.
